What to Expect:

• Personalized Care: Your new patient visit includes dedicated time with Dr. Allison O’Brien to review your medical and dental history and discuss your concerns, goals, and expectations. This appointment is designed to be unrushed so your care can be planned around what matters most to you.
• Comprehensive Evaluation: Your first visit typically lasts about 90 minutes and includes a detailed exam, digital imaging, and a full evaluation of your teeth, gums, jaw joints, muscles, and airway. This thorough approach helps us understand your complete oral health and create a thoughtful, individualized treatment plan.
• Friendly Atmosphere: Our office is warm, welcoming, and focused on your comfort. From the moment you arrive, our team is here to support you, answer your questions, and make sure your experience feels calm, respectful, and reassuring.

To make your first visit as convenient as possible, our office will send any necessary new patient forms electronically prior to your appointment. If you have any questions or need assistance completing your forms, please don’t hesitate to contact our office—we’re happy to help.

Your First Visit

Your first visit with us is designed to be thorough and focused on understanding your complete dental health and wellness. The appointment begins with a consultation with Dr. Allison O’Brien, where you will review your medical and dental history and discuss any concerns or goals you may have. One of our skilled dental assistants will then take a complete set of diagnostic digital X-rays, which may include individual images and a panoramic view. Your exam will include an oral cancer screening, an evaluation of your jaw joints and muscles, an airway assessment, digital imaging with the iTero scanner, a periodontal evaluation, and a detailed tooth exam. Based on what we find, additional diagnostic steps may be recommended. Your visit will conclude with a clear discussion of findings and a plan for sequencing any needed hygiene or restorative care in a way that best fits your needs.

Insurance and Billing

Our team is here to help you understand your financial options and make your care as straightforward as possible. We accept checks, cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards. Please note that a 3.5 percent convenience fee is added to all credit card transactions. We are also happy to review your insurance information with you and explain your benefits before treatment begins. As a courtesy, we will file claims on your behalf. While we are out of network with PPO plans, many plans still allow you to choose your own dentist, and we will always help you make the most of your benefits.

Financing Options

We offer Cherry payment plans to help make dental care more manageable and accessible. This flexible financing option allows you to receive the treatment you need now and pay over time in convenient monthly payments. The application process is quick, usually taking less than a minute, and uses a soft credit check that does not affect your credit score. Approved patients may qualify for plans that include zero-percent options, depending on eligibility.
